Rehab Resources

The Porch

We have been going through a series at The Porch called "Rehab" and talking about how we all have sin, we all have a past, and we all have problems we simply cannot get over on our own.

Help is available. Below is a list of resources—places within the church where you can find a community of people who will help you find healing through God's truth. The first step truly is acknowledging that you need help, and we would strongly encourage you to take that step of reaching out to the ministries below.

For all hurts, habits, and hang-ups:

re:generation

Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

Children's Building, 2nd floor.

The re:generation ministry is a Christ-centered 12-step program that can help with literally anything you may be struggling with, including any type of addiction, coping mechanism, past hurt, or sin struggle. It meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m., and you can join at any time without registering--just show up. If you have questions, please contact Lauren Phillips at regen@watermark.org or 214-393-3042.

Divorce recovery:

DivorceCare

Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

DivorceCare is a ministry for those who have gone through, or are currently going through, a divorce. It is a 13-week program, and the next session starts September 3, 2013. A concurrent DivorceCare 4 Kids helps children in the 1st through 5th grades deal with their parents' divorce, and Dealing with Divorce for Teens helps those in the 6th through 12th grades. Past sexual abuse:

Shelter from the Storm

Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

Watermark Chapel

Shelter from the Storm is a support group for women who have been sexually abused or assaulted. For more information, contact Lindsey Lauderdale at LLauderdale@watermark.org or 214-239-8816.

MenD

Mondays at 7:15 p.m.

Watermark Tower, room 429

MenD is a support group for men who have been sexually abused. Participants are encouraged to attend the main session of re:generation at 6:30 before coming to MenD at 7:15. Contact mend@watermark.org for more information.

Abortion Recovery:

Someone Cares

Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Someone Cares is a post-abortion restoration ministry for women. It is a 10-week study, and the next session begins in mid-September 2013. Contact Tracy at someonecares@watermark.org to sign up.

Forgotten Fathers

Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Men also feel the pain of participating in abortions. Forgotten Fathers is a 13-week recovery group for men struggling with 
the pain of being part of an abortion. Please contact Frank Gray at ff@watermark.org or

Grief Recovery:

GriefShare

Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. or 6:30 p.m.

Watermark Tower, 2nd floor

For those who have lost a loved one, GriefShare is designed to help you process through that deep hurt. It is a 13-week study, and the next session begins September 10, 2013. Infertility or Miscarriage:

Shiloh

Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Various locations

Shiloh is designed to help women or couples who have experienced infertility or miscarriage find hope, encouragement, and purpose. Parenting prodigal children:

The Prodigal

Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Watermark Tower, 3rd floor

The Prodigal is a ministry for parents whose grown children have gone astray or are wandering far from God. No registration is required, and you can join any Tuesday. For more information, contact Lauren Phillips at LPhillips@watermark.org or 214-393-3042.

Unemployment:

Careers in Motion

Tuesdays at 8:00 a.m.

Watermark Tower, 3rd floor
