#NotInOurCity

Pray for favor, wisdom, and provision for Dallas-based ministries focused on fighting the injustice of trafficking.

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.” (Psalm 90:17, NASB)

Other verses: James 1:5, 2 Corinthians 9:8

Pray for law enforcement and political leaders to act justly and implement discernment in laws and alliances.

“These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates.” (Zechariah 8:16)

Other verses: Proverbs 3:21, Proverbs 8:15

Pray Dallas would be changed and trafficking would be no more.

“And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” (Matthew 17:20)

Other verses: John 15:7, 1 John 5:14-15

Pray for the church to awaken to the issue.

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:13-14)

Other verses: Isaiah 60:1-2

Pray the church would unite against injustice and for advocates and laborers to emerge.

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.”

(Proverbs 31:8, NLT)

Other verses: Psalm 94:16, Matthew 9:37-38; Psalm 133, John 17:23, Romans 15:5

Pray for conviction, repentance and salvation for traffickers, pimps and clients.

“For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8 NASB)

Other verses: Isaiah 55:7, 2 Timothy 2:25

Pray for oppressors to be arrested and prosecuted.

"Hate evil, love good, and establish justice in the gate!" (Amos 5:15a)

Other verses: Isaiah 16:4, Jeremiah 22:3

Pray for strength and salvation for the victims.

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.” (Psalm 138:7)

Other verses: Isaiah 40:29, Luke 19:10

Pray for healing, protection, freedom and justice for the victims.

“I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 40:1-3 NLT)

Other verses: Psalm 82:4, Psalm 103:6, Psalm 146:7, Jeremiah 30:17, Jeremiah 31:17

Ask that God would reveal to us the ways that we are a part of the problem. Pray He would provide the will and strength to repent.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any

hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.” (Psalm 139:23-24, NASB)
