Control

This is possibly the most celebrated of all the sins we will cover. The world screams at us to be in control of our lives. The Bible, however, has a very different message. It tells us that we are not in control and ultimately as believers we come under God's control. Jeremiah 17 testifies to the death that comes from self-reliance and the life and abundance that come from surrendering to God. God is in control, whether we acknowledge it or not. We might as well pursue His plan.
