The Real Prize

Do you want God, or do you want God to give you something? Some, like the prodigal son, rebel against God by chasing after the worldly things they want. But others, like the elder son in the parable, work at pleasing the Father for the same reason: to get the worldly things they want. Both ways miss truly knowing the Father, which is the only thing that can fully satisfy.
