Whether you’ve been attending The Porch for a while now or you just moved to DFW and are looking for some new friends (who also have great taste in weekend trips), this is the place for you. At Launch “Warped in Time,” you can expect:

  • Small groups with new friends — because meet and greets on Tuesday don't always cut it
  • Biblical teaching
  • Worship sessions
  • Spaces for prayer and reflection
  • Group games (nothing bonds like some light competition)
  • Fun concerts and late nights
  • Your favorite summer camp activities...even if that means just chilling by the lake☀️
  • A few surprises…

Skip the group chat back-and-forth (figuring out who to Venmo for 1/6 of a lake house, groceries, and who knows what else, is not our idea of a vacation) and tell everyone you’ve already figured out how you’re closing the summer. Launch is the annual retreat of The Porch, the young adult ministry at Watermark Community Church in Dallas, TX. If you’re between the ages of 22 and 35, regularly attend The Porch (or want to connect with people who do), it’s for you! Listen to The Porch online? You’re invited too!

Launch starts the morning of Saturday, August 31 and lasts through Monday, September 1. (That's Labor Day weekend, so even the strictest of bosses SHOULD be giving you a day OOO for a quick retreat.)

Launch is for young adults ages 22-35, created for those who regularly attend The Porch or have friends that do. If you're new to the Dallas area, we want you to know The Porch exists for any and every young adult, so if you've been waiting for a sign to join in consider this your personal invitation.

(P.S. While we love the college students of Watermark Community Church, we recommend you try out a ministry made specifically for YOU.)

This is your chance to make some new friends! Everyone will be placed in co-ed small groups according to age, so at the very least you'll meet 8-10 young adults who are in a similar life stage as you. Remember — most of the people going are looking for community, so you are in good (and friendly) company!

Launch Retreat is at Sky Ranch, a camp about two hours outside of Dallas, just far enough to be out of the city without losing a whole day to travel. While this retreat does involve sleeping in cabins, we promise they are air-conditioned.

Yes! Once registration closes, we'll sort everyone out into groups and let you know your leaders, group theme, and other members so you can be fully prepared before Labor Day weekend.

Depending on your small group assignment, you'll arrive at Sky Ranch between 8AM and 10:30AM on Saturday, August 31. Launch will last until Monday, September 2 (Labor Day) at 1 PM!

You'll get a more detailed schedule from us as we get closer to the event and you get placed in a group, so be on the look out!

Great question — since we don't want to overflow the (minimal) Sky Ranch parking lots, we ask that you carpool with your small groups to and from the retreat from Watermark Community Church.

Your leaders will arrange everything beforehand, so you don't have to worry about finding your own ride — all you have to work on is your roadtrip playlist (unless you trust someone else with AUX👀)
